Without Fear (Sans Peur),officers and soldiers of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, their antecedent regiments and successor battalions have fought and kept the peace, at home and in far-flung places around the world.
The 91st Argyllshire Highlanders served with distinction in the Cape, Peninsula War and the Boer War. The 93rd Sutherland Highlanders are remembered for their famous stands at New Orleans, "The Thin Red Line" and relieving the Siege of Lucknow.
Since its formation in 1881, there has been virtually no conflict in which the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders did not serve with bravery and valour.
The 5th and 7th Battalions of The Royal Regiment of Scotland continue this proud tradition into current conflicts, notably Afghanistan. The deeds and courage of all officers and soldiers of our regiment will always be remembered with pride – Do not Forget (Ne Obliviscarus).
However, a regiment consists of much more than merely its men and women. Our official website aims to bring together all the elements of the Regiment: our Royal Colonel, Regular and Territorial Army, Veterans, Regimental Association, Museum, Cadets, Families and Mascots.
